ULTRASONIC TESTING (UT)
UT sends high-frequency sound waves (typically 0.1–15 MHz) into a material; reflections from internal features reveal flaws or thickness by analyzing the time-of-flight and amplitude of echoes
RADIOGRAPHIC TESTING (RT)
Radiography includes X‑ray RT (generated by an X‑ray tube) and Gamma RT (using isotopes like Ir‑192 or Co‑60); also digital methods such as CR, DR, RTR, and CT for 2D/3D imaging
MAGNETIC PARTICLE TESTING (MT)
A non-destructive method that magnetizes ferromagnetic materials and applies fine magnetic particles, which cluster at leaks in the magnetic field—making surface and near-surface flaws visible.
LIQUID PENETRANT TESTING ( LPT)
Liquid Penetrant Testing (LPT/PT): A low‑cost NDT method that applies a visible or fluorescent dye to a clean, non-porous surface; capillary action draws the fluid into surface-breaking flaws, and a developer reveals defects like cracks and porosity
VISUAL TESTING (VT)
A fundamental NDT method involving direct observation of components to detect surface discontinuities using the naked eye or optical aids like magnifying glasses and borescopes.It's widely used across industries for quality control and safety assurance,
RADIOGRAPHIC FILM INTERPRETATION (RTFI)
An NDT method where radiographs (X-ray or gamma-ray images) are analyzed to detect internal flaws like cracks, voids, and inclusions in materials. Interpretation requires assessing film density, contrast,
